STEPS TO REPLACE THE SUN/ZOOM PILOT FUSELAGE

1. Remove the new fuselage from the plastic bag.

2. Remove the top of the fuselage from the bottom of the fuselage.

3. Remove the spinner from the motor in the old fuselage.

hatch photo 4. Remove the screw holding the motor hatch on the fuselage.

5. Remove the start button from the motor hatch by unscrewing the nut on the outside of the start button.

motor strap photo 6. Remove the two screws holding the motor strap and remove the motor.

receiver photo 7. Remove the receiver from the fuselage and unplug the servo and speed control from the receiver.

8. Remove the two screws holding the on/off switch. To remove the switch, you may need to cut the fuselage. The motor, speed control, start button and on/off switch can now be removed from the fuselage.

9. Remove the motor hatch from the top of the new fuselage half.

fuselage photo 10. Insert the motor into the motor tray in the new bottom fuselage half. Secure the motor with the motor strap and two screws.

on/off switch photo 11. Insert the on/off switch in the cutout in the new top fuselage. Secure the switch with the switch plate and two screws. Route the two plugs from the speed control through the front plastic brace in the new top fuselage half.

rudder servo photo 12. Remove the screw holding the control horn on the rudder servo. Pull up on the servo horn to remove.

rudder servo photo 13. Remove the two screws attaching the rudder servo in the fuselage. Remove the rudder servo from the old fuselage and install it in the new fuselage top using the two mounting screws.

fin/rudder photo 14. Remove the screw holding the fin/rudder and remove it from the fuselage.

pushrods photo 15. Cut the back half of the fuselage open and remove the rudder pushrod. Do not try and pull the pushrod out the front of the fuselage. Insert the pushrod in the new top fuselage half. Make sure the pushrod exits through the slot in the aft end of the fuselage and the top opening in the plastic brace by the rudder servo. Also remove the antenna tube and use 30-minute epoxy or white glue to glue it in the new bottom fuselage half. Make sure the antenna tube is inserted in the hole at the aft end of the bottom fuselage half.

16. Use 30-minute epoxy or white glue to glue the two fuselage halves together. Wrap a couple pieces of masking tape around the fuselage to hold it until the glue dries.

fin/rudder photo 17. After the glue dries, attach the rudder pushrod to the fin/rudder. Then, attach the fin to the fuselage with the screw.

18. Insert the receiver antenna in the antenna tube and out the aft end of the fuselage. Plug the rudder servo into the #1 slot in the receiver and the speed control into the #2 slot. The rudder servo will only plug in one direction, with the black wire to the outside, the red wire in the middle and the yellow wire to the inside.

receiver photo 19. Position the receiver in front of the rudder servo in the fuselage.

battery photo 20. Plug a charged airplane battery into the speed control. Switch on the transmitter then the airplane. Make sure the rudder trim on the transmitter is centered. Insert the rudder pushrod through the hole in the rudder servo arm and press the servo arm onto the rudder servo, perpendicular to the centerline of the servo. After the servo arm is installed, switch off the airplane and the transmitter and unplug the airplane battery.

21. Install the start button in the motor hatch and secure it with the start button nut. Attach the motor hatch to the fuselage with the screw.

stabilizer/elevator photo 22. Remove the stabilizer and elevator pushrod from the old fuselage. Insert the pushrod through the pushrod post in front of the fin and attach the stabilizer to the fuselage.

23. Remove the screw from the old pushrod post and install it in the new pushrod post.

24. Remove the landing gear from the old fuselage and install it on the new fuselage.

25. Press the propeller on the motor shaft.

26. Install the wing, charge the battery and you're ready to fly.
